Born in the mountain village of Ruby Valley, Saujan began his journey as a porter and has spent over 15 years mastering the trails of Nepal. His vision for True Ascent Trek is built on empathy, excellence, and empowering others from mountain communities. He leads by example with humility, courage, and a deep love for the Himalayas.
Every guide and assistant guide at True Ascent Trek is well trained, experienced, and fluent in English. They’ve grown up in the very regions you’ll trek through, giving them unmatched local knowledge and insight. They are trained in high-altitude safety, first aid, and cultural interpretation, ensuring you have a safe, rich, and enjoyable trekking experience.
Our assistant guides are rising stars trained under Saujan’s mentorship and ready to support your journey with enthusiasm and care. Many of them come from remote mountain villages and are working their way up just like Saujan did.
